INGREDIENTS:

1 cup raw almonds
2 cups of water
1/2 vanilla pod
1 tps honey


Place the almonds and water in a bowl and let them soak overnight. Drain the almonds through a fine mesh strainer and give them a quick rinse. Place the almonds, 2 cups of water, the vanilla beans and honey into the blender. Turn the blender on low for 20 seconds and then slowly turn it up to high speed and puree until the mixture is light and frothy. Place your cheesecloth in 2 layers in a fine mesh strainer set over a bowl. Pour the mixture into the strainer and carefully wrap up the cheesecloth and squeeze to separate the milk from the pulp. Pour the milk into an air tight container and keep in the fridge. The milk should last 3 - 4 days and remember to shake before serving.
